Catalyst Development has added Steve Clements as a managing consultant in its operations practice.

Clements previously worked as an independent consultant. He is a senior specialist in operations, treasury and liquidity, and cash and collateral management.

He has worked on projects such as Nomura’s direct membership of the CLS multi-currency cash settlement system and BNP Paribas Securities Services’s liquidity/treasury management and investment banking products.

He has also managed operational departments in global investment banks, including Cantor Fitzgerald International, where he was a director and head of treasury in Europe and Asia, and Rabobank International, where he was a director and global head of liquidity management, group treasury services.

At Catalyst, Clement will focus on change and improvement within investment banks’ treasury, funding and liquidity functions.

Matt Parkinson, Catalyst’s managing director, said: “As the investment banking world introduced automation, Clements was directly involved in developing processes from first principles—giving him a rare detailed insight into the workings of the processes and products that drive the applications used today."

"He combines this profound experience and knowledge with energy and agility, to help organisations better understand and solve the issues they face.”
