Research and consulting firm Celent has named David Easthope as senior vice president of its securities and investments group.
Easthope is currently a research director within the group, and is based in the firm’s San Francisco office.
“[Easthope] has been an integral part of our securities and investments practice and is a natural fit to lead the team into 2014 and beyond,” said Craig Weber, CEO of Celent.
“With his in-depth market knowledge and the support of our dedicated team of analysts, he is committed to expanding our research and strengthening our client relationships.”
Easthope first joined Celent as an analyst in 2005. Previously, he was a director of strategy at Charles Schwab. He has also held positions as a business strategist at brokerage firm Detwiler Fenton and equity research roles at Raymond James & Associates and Friedman, Billings, Ramsey covering companies in the financial technology industry.
