EquiLend has appointed Paul Lynch as global head of products.

Lynch was previously a strategic adviser to the EquiLend management team.

Lynch has more than 30 years of experience in the securities finance industry, including previous management roles at eSecLending and State Street.

In addition, EquiLend’s former business development and product management division has been realigned.

Dan Dougherty, previously global co-head of business development and product management, now heads the business development division.

James Lailey has been appointed as head of EquiLend’s North American client relationship management team, reporting to Dougherty.

Previously, Lailey focused on DataLend Portfolio sales to beneficial owner clients, which he will continue in his expanded role.

Lailey formerly held senior roles at Deutsche Bank and CIBC World Markets and has more than 30 years experience within securities lending.

Trish Barry, who will report to Lynch, has taken on an expanded role to manage the clearing, middle office and post-trade services business analyst teams.

Brian Lamb, CEO of EquiLend, said: “We are more committed than ever to our clients and developing dynamic, industry-standard technology covering the full spectrum of trading, post-trade, market data and clearing services.”

He added: “We are proud to have such talented and experienced members of the EquiLend team and are confident these appointments will enable us to better engage with clients and optimise our product delivery model.”
