Interactive Brokers names new head of securities lending

Yick Wong has been appointed as head of securities lending for Asia Pacific at Interactive Brokers, a global broker-dealer.

In its broker-dealer agency business, it provides direct access trade execution and clearing services to institutional and professional traders for a variety of electronically traded products, including stocks, options, futures, forex, fixed-income and funds.

Interactive Brokers is headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut and has offices in the US, Switzerland, Canada, Hong Kong, UK, Australia, Hungary, Russia, Japan, India, China and Estonia.

In his new role, Wong will be based in the Hong Kong office.

Wong joins Interactive Brokers from Haitong International Securities Group where he worked as a securities lending trader from February 2016 to June this year.

Prior to this, Wong served as a securities lending trade trader for the Bank of China International from 2014 to 2016. Before that he was an associate at Morgan Stanley, from 2010 and 2014.
