Tradeweb, a fixed income, derivatives and exchange-traded funds electronic trading platform, has welcomed back Steven Berns, who is set to join its board of directors, effective 3 April.
Berns will become an independent director and chair the board’s audit committee.
He originally served as Tradeweb’s chief finance officer (CFO) between 2007 and 2009.
Most recently, Berns has served as CFO at Shutterstock, for four years and for two years prior as chief operating officer.
Before that, Berns was executive vice president and CFO for Tribune, a media company, from 2013 to 2015. He also brings experience from four years as CFO at Revlon.
In addition to his new role, Berns is a board member of Forum Merger II Corporation.
Martin Brand, chairman of the Tradeweb’s board, commented: “We are pleased to have Steven joining Tradeweb’s board of directors. His deep financial expertise, in addition to his wide-ranging governance and operations experience in digital brands, makes him a valuable addition to the board. He also knows the company and its business well, having previously served as CFO at Tradeweb.”
Tradeweb CEO Lee Olesky adds: “In addition to Steven’s financial expertise, he brings direct industry experience that will be tremendously valuable to both the board and our management team.”
