Baton Systems has announced the hire of Ronn Baker as senior director of North American sales.
Based in the US, Baker will report to global head of sales Alex Knight and work toward expanding the reach of the Baton CORE suite of solutions that span foreign exchange (FX), payments, liquidity and collateral.
He brings experience across FX technology, eCommerce sales and institutional sales for cross-border payment solutions and services, to the role.
Baker previously served at Wells Fargo for 15 years, most recently as director of innovation and digital strategy, spearheading the implementation of distributed ledger technology, cryptocurrencies and digital assets for the FX trading and capital markets division.
Commenting on the appointment, Arjun Jayaram, CEO and founder of Baton Systems, says: “Ronn brings invaluable experience to our growing team and has witnessed the impact that our DLT technology can have everyday, enabling real-time, riskless settlements in a live production environment.”
