Bursa Malaysia joins PASLA

The Pan Asia Securities Lending Association (PASLA) has announced that its longstanding partner and supporter Bursa Malaysia has become a new member of the association.

Bursa Malaysia is one of the largest bourses in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEANS), facilitating capital raising for more than 1000 companies.

According to PASLA, joining the association demonstrates Bursa Malaysia’s commitment to securities borrowing and lending services and brings a broad range of investment opportunities to its investors.

CEO of PASLA Stephen Howard says: "The addition of Bursa Malaysia as a member of PASLA demonstrates the growing significance of the Malaysian equities market. We are excited to collaborate with them and our other members to continue advancing the securities finance activities in the region."

PASLA represents more than 60 firms within the securities finance market in Asia-Pacific, including investment banks, securities houses, dealers and prime brokers.
