The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited is revising its listed securities for short selling to add 76 and remove 11 existing securities, effective 14 August.

The newly listed securities come from a wide cross-section of industries including companies such as state-owned China Chengtong Holdings Group, real estate developer Minmetals Land Limited, pharmaceutical provider NT Pharma and Canada’s Sunshine Oilsands.

Of the 11 removed securities the majority of the list is made up of Chinese industrial companies, with notable exceptions such as YuanSheng Tai Dairy Farm and CH Child Care.

The Stock Exchange is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited.

The updated list will now include 883 securities for short selling and can be accessed on the HKEx website.
