The collateral consultancy space has a new addition following the launch of CORE Collateral, a specialist collateral consultancy firm, this month.
The new company, based in the UK, was co-founded by Grant Davies and Tim Harrold, both of whom boast significant consultancy and collateral management experience.
Davies cut his consultancy teeth at The Field Effect after a lengthy career working on the front lines of securities finance and collateral management for the likes of HSBC, J.P. Morgan and BlackRock.
Harrold also brings substantial collateral management credentials to the firm, with an extensive CV of experience.
Beginning his career at Morgan Stanley in 1987, where he was part of the original team launching the bank’s international prime brokerage service, before moving to Lehman Brothers in 1992, Harrold has navigated some of the most challenging times in the industry’s history.
More recently, Harrold also worked at J.P. Morgan at the same time as Davies, where he served as executive director for collateral management sales before moving into consulting in 2009.
Davies commented: “At the heart of CORE Collateral is the belief that by engaging and listening to our customers we will establish any product gaps in the market. Sometimes these gaps are the result of issues that span across multiple existing infrastructures, which is the reason they have been overlooked.”
“At other times, the capabilities of existing solutions may not have been fully maximised. A range of products and technology exist in the market which, when appropriately applied, can meet and address some of the needs and challenges faced by market participants”
“CORE Collateral can help deliver structured solutions that can provide benefit to you and your clients.”
