The International Securities Lending Association (ISLA) has secured two Bank of England (BoE) senior representatives as keynote speakers for its 8th Annual Post Trade Conference next month in London.
Sarah John, head of sterling markets division, and Jon Pyzer, senior manager for the sterling markets division will speak to attendees on 12 October at Morgan Stanley’s London headquarters in Canary Wharf.
Pyzer currently leads the BoE’s work on the UK Money Market Code, which ISLA played a central role in crafting, while John is responsible for the design and implementation of the central bank’s operations in sterling markets, in support of both its monetary policy and financial stability objectives.
ISLA’s conference, which this year is themed ‘securities lending post trade–evolution or revolution?’ will explore the various obstacles affecting the post trade environment and how they might shape the future, especially in Europe.
Discussion will focus closely on how regulatory implementation, such as securities financing transactions regulation and the second markets in financial instruments directive will affect post trade landscape going forward.
