OCC sees slide in securities lending activity for August

Equity derivatives clearing organisation OCC saw its securities lending central counterparty (CCP) activity fall by 5.53 percent in new loans for August, compared to the same month last year.
OCC reported that its year-to-date securities lending activity was down 2.56 percent, representing 899,943 new loan transactions, from the same period in 2018.
The average daily loan value at OCC in August was $76.8 billion a decrease of 4.4 percent compared to August 2018.
