OCC on the up for September’s securities lending new loans

Equity derivatives clearing organisation OCC saw its securities lending central counterparty activity increase by 1 percent in new loans from September last year with 102,863 transactions last month.
OCC explained that year-to-date stock loan activity decreased 2.21 percent from 2018 with 1,002,806 new loan transactions in 2019.
The average daily loan value at OCC in September was $75.9 billion, which marks a decrease of 8 percent compared to last September.
