Clearstream starts 2020 strong with volumes boost

Clearstream has revealed its monthly figures for January, which identified a 15 percent month-to-month increase in its global securities financing volume.
The post-trade services provider saw its volumes for the first month of the year hit €478.3 billion, up from €417.6 billion during the same period in 2019.
A year-to-date (13 February) comparison also shows a 15 percent growth with €478.3 billion recorded this year up from €417.6 billion in 2019
Meanwhile, the Deutsche Boerse subsidiary’s assets under custody grew by 8 percent in January, compared to the same month last year.
In the first month of 2019, assets under custody stood at €13,620 billion compared to €14,731 billion this year.
