OCC securities lending loan values up 60% for November

OCC’s securities lending average daily loan value has risen by 59.9 per cent YoY to US$138.4 billion during November.

Securities lending activity at the CCP has grown by 64.6 per cent in new loans relative to November 2020, with 173,472 transactions last month.

OCC’s total cleared contract volume for November 2021 was the highest monthly volume on record for the clearing house, rising 40.2 per cent YoY to 949,396,907 contracts.

Year-to-date average daily cleared volume for 2021 is up 34.7 per cent on 2020 ytd volumes at 39,469,816 contracts.

For options contracts, OCC’s total exchange-listed options cleared contract volume is up 40.2 per cent YoY to 944,355,975 contracts.

Equity options cleared volume rose 40.3 per cent to 898,166,403 contracts, including a 31.6 per cent increase for ETF options to 244,472,686 contracts. Index options volumes have increased 37.9 per cent YoY to 46,189,572 for the month of November.

Total futures clearing volume at OCC has grown 42.8 per cent YoY to 5,040,932.
