06 March 2025 US, Canada

Five more US and Canada-based companies have joined the International Securities Lending Association (ISLA) Americas as new members.
This includes Citigroup, an American multinational investment bank and financial services company, which was formed in 1998 by the merger of Citicorp and Travelers.
Its Institutional Clients Group offers investment and corporate banking, treasury and trade solutions, as well as securities services.
J.P. Morgan, named after an American financier and banker who founded the financial institution in 1871, has also become a member.
Besides investment and private banking, the company also provides asset management.
BMO Capital Markets, another company to join the association, offers corporate, institutional, and government clients access to a range of investment and corporate banking products and services.
It is part of BMO Financial Group, one of the largest diversified financial services providers in North America.
ISLA Americas has also welcomed Scotiabank, a Canadaian multinational banking and financial services firm, which offers personal and commercial banking, wealth management, as well as corporate and investment banking.
Last but not least, new member National Bank Financial, a wealth management wing of the National Bank group, ranks among the largest securities brokerage firms in Canada.
The firm is also a member of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund.
In addition to a number of financial institutions joining the association over the last few weeks, the association anticipates several more new member announcements.
Incorporated in May 2024, ISLA Americas is a non-profit industry association, representing the common interests of securities lending agents, borrowers, beneficial owners, institutional investors, and other market practitioners in the Americas region.
