SSgA closes securities lending across fixed income funds

State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) has announced that is has ended its securities lending programme across many of its funds 'in the best interests of shareholders'.
The announcement affects the World Broad Investment Grade Index, the World Government Bond Index, the EMU Government Bond Index, the US Government Bond Index, the US Corporate Bond Index, the Euro Corporate Bond Index, and the EMY Government Long Bond II funds.
In a statement, the company said: "The directors are of the view that the discontinuance of the securities lending programme is in the best interests of shareholders."
