ESMA elects Gérard Rameix for board

Gérard Rameix has been elected to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) management board.
Rameix, who is chairman of the French Autorité des Marchés Financiers, replaces Kurt Pribil from Austria’s Finanzmarktaufsicht (FMA), who recently left the FMA, on the management board. His term will last until October 2014.
In a statement, Rameix said: “ESMA has an important role to play in the coming years in European securities markets, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to help ESMA achieve its objectives.”
