Emily Portney has been appointed as CFO of the Barclays corporate and international business, the bank has confirmed.

Portney will join Barclays in her new role on 19 September.

Previously, she spent 22 years at J.P. Morgan in roles including head of agency clearing, collateral management and execution and CFO of equities and prime services.

Portney is the latest in a string of executives joining Barclays from J.P. Morgan, following the appointment of Jes Staley as CEO in December 2015.
