Karen Loria joins Nomura

Karen Loria has joined Nomura taking on a role in the firm’s securities lending middle office operations.
Loria, who started at Nomura in March, will be based in the company’s New York office.
She joins from Cantor Fitzgerald, where she worked in the firm’s stock loan operations. In her role at Cantor Fitzgerald, she was responsible for the day to day operations for the recently introduced international stock loan business and providing backup for domestic stock loan.
With 20 years experience in the securities lending industry, Loria has also served in various roles at ING, Daiwa Securities Capital Markets and JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Loria, who started at Nomura in March, will be based in the company’s New York office.
