SC appoints new executive director

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has appointed Ong Liang Heng as new executive director in the chairman’s office.
In his new role, he will be responsible for special projects and initiatives in the SC.
He will also be actively involved in the engagement and coordination with stakeholders to develop new proposals or policies for the advancement of the Malaysian capital market.
Prior to joining SC, Liang Heng was a senior managing director at CIMB Bank.
Liang Heng brings with him over 25 years of experience in the field of corporate finance.
