RegTek.Solutions has hired Chris Cornish as consultant business analyst, based in London.
In his role, Cornish will focus on Validate.Trade, RegTek.Solutions’ flagship product used by G16 banks and asset managers to monitor the quality of their reporting data.
In light of European Securities Markets Authority’s securities financing transaction regulation (SFTR) implementation, he will be especially involved with the further development of Validate.Trade for SFTR.
Additionally, he will support the ongoing work to enhance reporting quality for RegTek.Solutions’ clients providing insight into product design, prioritisation and testing.
As well as this, he will work directly with clients implementing RegTek.Solutions products offerings.
Most recently, Cornish served as a senior business analyst and SFTR specialist at IHS Markit.
Prior to this, he worked at ICBC Standard Bank where he held a similar position, focusing on SFTR implementation.
Commenting on his appointment, Cornish said: “During my career, I have worked closely with service providers and end-users to manage the complexity of meeting new and changing regulatory requirements, and I recognise the real value that RegTek.Solutions delivers to some of the world’s largest banks.”
“I’m looking forward to working with them as they continue to enhance and expand their market-leading products, principally for SFTR which will be a significant undertaking for the securities lending industry.”
Brian Lynch, CEO, RegTek.Solutions, added: “With 15 years of experience in financial services consulting and a specialist knowledge of key regulatory reforms including SFTR, the second Markets in Financial Derivatives, European Markets Infrastructure Regulation and Dodd-Frank, Cornish amplifies our subject matter expertise and ensures we are well positioned to help firms achieve sustainable compliance and successful SFTR implementations in 2020.”
