Dinosaur Bank hires new securities finance head

Dinosaur Merchant Bank has appointed Andrew Truman-Williams as its new head of European portfolio and securities finance businesses, based in London.
Previously, Truman-Williams served at VTB Capital, where he was the head of securities finance for over eight years.
He joins with more than 20 years’ experience in securities finance, including senior positions at Commerzbank AG, HBOS and Man Group.
Taking on the newly-created role, Truman-Williams will report to Ed Reid, managing director of Dinosaur Financial Group in New York and to Paul E. Becker, managing director of Dinosaur Merchant Bank in London.
Commenting on his new role, Truman-Williams said: “I’m delighted to be joining Dinosaur Merchant Bank. It’s a true challenger bank and I am particularly attracted to its combination of access to markets, good technology and compliance structures, coupled with international networks and personal relationships. The bank clearly has an in-depth understanding of what clients need and how to work effectively.”
Reid added: “It is great news to have Andrew Truman-Williams join our expanding global team in such a key role. [His] expertise and experience will quickly prove a significant asset in providing clients with access to our specialist range of securities financing solutions to Europe, the Middle East and Africa market liquidity.”
