Matthew Benz joins HQLAᵡ

Matthew Benz has joined HQLAᵡ as general counsel, based in the head office in Luxembourg.
In his new role, Benz will report jointly to Guido Stroemer and Nick Short, HQLAᵡ’s CEO and COO, respectively.
Most recently, Benz was senior counsel for administration and governance with another company in Luxembourg.
He also has prior experience in international commercial transactions and finance.
Commenting on his appointment, Benz said: "As HQLAᵡ’s first in-house counsel, I am eager to tackle the challenge of bringing all of that – and more – to bear as I manage legal risk and coordinating legal support across the company.”
He continued: “Guido Stroemer, Nick Short and the rest of the team have developed a truly innovative blockchain solution for the global securities lending markets.”
“I am very excited to join the team, and I look forward to playing a role in HQLAx’s further development and the onboarding of customers to our platform.”
