Northern Trust's head of securities lending trading for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, Andrew Geggus, is set to bid farewell to the bank for pastures new.

Geggus is leaving the bank after six years in which he rose from serving as a fixed income and equity securities lending trader for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, based in London, between 2014 and 2017, before taking on the top job for APAC in Hong Kong in 2018.

Geggus is understood to be staying in the securities lending space but will be relocating outside of APAC under a new banner.

Prior to Northern Trust, Geggus worked as a quantitative equity research analyst for GSA Capital, a UK-based quantitative investment manager, between 2013 and 2014.

Northern Trust was unable to immediately provide further details on who will replace Geggus.
