Pirum has announced the hire of Tom Alavanja as director of business development.

Reporting to Bob Zekraus, COO and head of Americas, Alavanja will be based in Pirum’s New York office.

Alavanja joins the company from BNY Mellon, where he spent four years as vice president and client services officer, working within the company’s clearance and collateral management business.

Prior to this, he was operations supervisor at HSBC between 2012 and 2017. Previously, he was operations department specialist at Societe Generale Corporate Investment Banking between 2007 and 2012.
