Christophe Oleron has announced his departure from HSBC after six years at the bank’s Hong Kong office.
Leaving his post as global head of index, exchange-traded funds and synthetic prime trading, Oleron originally joined the bank in 2016 as head of delta one and index trading for Asia-Pacific.
Over the course of his term with HSBC, Oleron held a number of senior positions including head of prime finance trading, and global head of trading, index, delta one and securities-based lending.
Speaking on the announcement via a LinkedIn post, Oleron says: “It has been a very exciting journey over the last six years, driving change, learning a lot and leading teams of talented people as well as great human beings around the world.
“It was not an easy decision and I leave behind friends, but it will allow me to reflect on life and the next exciting challenge I want to take on.”
Oleron says he departs from HSBC to spend more time with family.
