Clearstream welcomes the promotions of Élodie Putz and James Cherry to head of business management and development, respectively.

Based in Luxembourg, Putz is appointed as head of business management for collateral, lending and liquidity solutions at Clearstream. While Cherry becomes head of business development for collateral, lending and liquidity solutions for the firm’s London office.

The appointments follow the firm’s decision to create two new units to strengthen its collateral, lending and liquidity solutions business.

Cherry and Putz will report to Marton Szigeti, head of collateral, lending and liquidity solutions.

Putz has been working for Clearstream for the last nine years, first joining as project management officer. Prior to her new role, Putz was lead for business management for banking funding and financing and for the Clearstream sustainability stream.

Cherry, the former head of business development for banking, funding and financing at Clearstream, has been with the firm since 2018.

Previously, he worked for a number of financial institutions including Pirum Systems, Deutsche Börse and Citi.

Commenting on the two appointments, Szigeti says: “With the creation of two dedicated teams for business management and business development, we are further enhancing our collateral, lending and liquidity solutions capabilities for our clients.

“As always, we are looking to support them with the best service possible to optimise their collateral and liquidity within the changing economic environment. We are confident that this new setup puts us in the perfect position to do so.”
