Fidelity Capital Markets, a division of Fidelity Institutional, has appointed Tak Yuen as senior associate for agency lending trading.
In the new role, Yuen will lead strategic growth initiatives for the firm’s agency lending business, focusing primarily on the Asia-Pacific markets.
He will report to Jon Whiting, vice president of international and fixed income agency lending.
Yuen will also be responsible for the management and daily trading of the Asian equity book of business during local market hours as Fidelity aims to open new opportunities in the Asian region and expand its client supply, collateral, and borrower entity footprints globally.
He joins Fidelity from a 17-year-long career at eSecLending, where he most recently worked as vice president of Asian equities trading.
At eSecLending, Yuen worked across multiple groups in operations and recalls and, as vice president of Asian equities trading, launched the trading desk which has served clients and borrowers in the Asian region for eight years.
He began his career in finance after graduating from Tufts University with a bachelor’s degree in international relations and Asian studies.
