Pirum hires Ford to lead fixed income business development

Pirum has hired Jonathan Ford as head of fixed income business development.
Based in London, Ford will assume global responsibility for Pirum’s fixed income agenda.
He brings more than 30 years of experience to the financial services technology firm, joining from RBC Capital Markets where he worked for eight years, most recently as head of fixed income financing sales.
He previously worked as head of prime origination for credit and emerging markets at Barclays Capital for more than two years. During his career, he took on roles across prime brokerage, syndicate, sales, origination and trading.
He began his career in finance at Lehman Brothers in 1990 and worked there until 2008.
Commenting on the appointment, Ford says: “I have been a user of [Pirum’s] products for years and the efficiencies and solutions that they bring to the market are immense. Fixed income collateral and repo will be the next beneficiaries of Pirum’s technology and solutions, and I am thrilled to be part of the team bringing these improvements to market.”
