The Pan Asia Securities Lending Association (PASLA) has appointed Vinesh Patel to lead a newly established Future Technology working group.
Alongside its group members, Patel will continue to drive the association’s advocacy agenda and shape the securities finance industry through the lens of new technologies which enhance transactions and promote interoperability.
Patel is currently head of APAC coverage at Wematch.live, where he works closely with clients to provide solutions to enhance efficiency, transparency and liquidity in the market.
He brings extensive experience in balance sheet management and securities financing domains.
Prior to joining Wematch.live, Patel spent six years at ICAP in Hong Kong in its Structured Financial Products Group.
Before this, he was a trader in the treasury division of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) in London, between 2011 and 2014.
PASLA’s working groups are a core component of the association and aim to bring together its members around specific markets or themes.
The working groups use members’ collective expertise to enable the association to develop industry-led consensus with stakeholders.
