Prudential Bache have announced the appointment of Joseph P. Gelsomino as Vice President, FX Sales. A senior foreign exchange salesperson, Gelsomino will be based in New York and will report to Brian Jaspers, global head of foreign exchange.
Gelsomino joins from Natixis Bank. Previously, he worked in senior roles at several other major financial institutions, including 10 years at AIG, where he was a senior marketer of foreign exchange, prime brokerage and commodity trading.
"Joe will focus on developing new client relationships, as well as building on existing relationships, offering both FX and other products," said Brian Jaspers. "His broad multi-product experience and knowledge will be a significant asset as we continue to expand our market reach."
The addition of Gelsomino marks the latest hire in the expansion of Prudential Bache's global foreign exchange team. Other recent hires include Jonathan Webb as Head of FX Strategy and George Tsiourvas as Vice President, FX Sales. Both are based in London
