Minter Ellison welcomes leading senior banking lawyer John Brimacombe to the SA/NT partnership.

John joins Minter Ellison as one of six partners in the Adelaide office's financial services team, taking the total complement of fee earners in the team to 18.

Minter Ellison SA/NT's Managing Partner, Nigel McBride said today "I am delighted to announce that a new partner has joined the Financial Services Group in the Adelaide office. John Brimacombe is a senior banking practitioner with a leading market reputation. The depth of knowledge and experience which he brings will be of immense benefit to the firm and its clients. His addition to our already strong financial services team cements our position as the leading banking, financial services and insolvency practice in Adelaide".

John has over 25 years' experience working in banking and finance law including acting for both lenders and borrowers in relation to syndicated and project financing, property and construction financing, secured and unsecured transactions, bond and note issues, structuring and stamp duty.

John has also been involved in drafting standard loan and security documents for a number of financial institutions. He also works closely with the team's insolvency practitioners in both formal and informal work outs.

Head of the Adelaide Financial Services team, Peter Chester said "John brings a wealth of experience to the firm from decades of practice in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Many of our bank clients have told us how pleased they are that he will be acting for them in the future, rather than negotiating against them!"

"The experience John brings to the firm and adds to our already strong financial services team means that we can continue to offer a world class service to our clients" said McBride.

John is a Notary Public and is a member of a number of professional associations.
