Wematch launches a new module in its securities financing platform which introduces a lifecycle management toolkit for Total Return Swaps (TRS) in EMEA and in the US.
Wematch is a global multi-asset-class, web-based matching and negotiation platform that aims to provide software-as-a-service technology to transform how traders match, negotiate and manage trades.
The new feature will allow users to import TRS trades into the platform and to run a series of lifecycle/collateral optimisation actions with a low-touch approach.
The users will be able to define a set of rules, import their short and long positions, and the platform will automatically process optimisations on the back of those rules and basket constraints. These features will also be available in the US as of Q2 2020.
Wematch is currently onboarding dealers in the US, by leveraging the 35 dealers already using the solution in EMEA in order to come up with a global solution on TRS equities.
Wematch’s broader offering, which includes a matching protocol for exchange-traded funds launched in January and a euro interest rate swaps tool, Wematch also hosted a first-of-its-kind electronic EUREX/LCH basis swap trade last month.
“This new module completes our Wematch TRS offer and gives a one-stop-shop to the 35 dealers already using the solution in EMEA said David Raccat, co-founder and EMEA head.
He adds “This solution upgrades the workflow of desk trading TRS by allowing traders to save precious time and to significantly reduce operational risks.”
