New enhancements and features have been added to EquiLend’s data service for the securities finance industry, DataLend.
EquiLend launched DataLend at the beginning of January. It uses proprietary quantitative cleansing methods to ensure the quality of its data, which is global and covers all asset classes, regions and securities.
The additions to DataLend include an ability to access a pre-defined list of securities to return metrics for a selected business date. Users can now also retrieve 90 days of historical data on a single security.
On loan and inventory quantities are now searchable in DataLend, and users can select data points that they wish to appear as overlays on charts, including security price and volume weighted average rates/fees.
A new interactive long/short ratio graph has also been added, along with a time series view that is available for all pie charts to show volume weighted average fees and trends.
On 7 January, Brian Lamb, CEO of EquiLend, said that overall client response and use of the company’s new data product has “exceeded our expectations”.
“We have received feedback that DataLend securities finance market data has tremendous statistical significance reflective of market activity, and is of the highest quality.”
