At the SunGard London City Day, an excellently organised and well attended one-day conference SunGard announced the launch of MarketMap Mobile. Users of SunGard MarketMap can now access their market data terminal while on the move, using their BlackBerry devices.
MarketMap Mobile is Web-based, providing quick and easy deployment. Its easy-to-use interface offers enhanced functionality such as chart displays. The mobile application also replicates the configuration selected by the MarketMap user on the desktop version of the terminal for seamless integration. In addition, SunGard's MarketMap Mobile features a "single sign-on" capability, which provides unique access from either the desktop product or the handheld device with the same login and password credentials.
Yassine Brahim, president of SunGard's global trading business, said, "As handheld devices gain popularity, especially in the retail investing sector, mobile applications will become more important to meet the needs of an increasingly mobile workforce. By viewing desktop data on a handheld device, customers can keep in touch with the financial markets and work anywhere, anytime."
