Canadian corporate and investment bank TD Securities is seeking to enhance its prime services with the appointment of a new securities lending director.
Wim Shih, who is based in New York, has joined the bank from Wells Fargo Securities, where he has served as an equity finance director since 2014.
Before that, Shih was vice president at JPMorgan Chase.
He also brings experience from roles at US market maker and high-frequency trader Knight Equity Markets, now part of Getco, and Deutsche Bank, as part of its global equity finance team.
A spokesperson for TD Securities said the hire reflects the bank's growth in its prime services business.
