Velocity Clearing hires Lando

Velocity Clearing, a US-based self-clearing broker-dealer, has appointed Madelyn Lando as managing director and head of equity finance.

Based in New York, Lando will report to Robert Kalaf, chief operating officer at Velocity Clearing.

Lando brings more than 15 years of industry experience to the role. She previously served at financial services company Wells Fargo, most recently as a managing director.

Prior to this, she was executive director at J.P. Morgan from 2008 to 2013.

Velocity Clearing provides execution services, clearing and custody, along with access to stock locate services, securities lending and competitive financing.

Commenting on the appointment, Velocity Clearing CEO Michael Logan says: “Madelyn’s expertise and reputation are well known throughout the industry and she will add tremendous value as we continue to expand Velocity’s presence in the marketplace.”
